How The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy Works With Lifelong Learning Centres

Since July 2, 2018, the new Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system has been in effect. This replaced the previous Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate programs, and has made it easier for families to access child care.

The amount of the new Child Care Subsidy you are entitled to depends on three key things:

• Your combined family income
• The amount of ‘recognised’ activity you and your partner undertake each fortnight
• The child care fees you pay

The Child Care Subsidy is paid directly to our child care centre, reducing your out of pocket fees.

You must register at www.mygov.gov.au to qualify for the child care subsidy.
